Mapping the family
The Places page now has a map. It is drawn from the family tree: twelve people named Batxellí, in all its spellings, born between 1666 and 1906.
Moving the slider under the map shows the family moving too:
- 1600s. The earliest record is Baldiri Batxallí, born in 1666 at Sant Martí de Capsec.
- 1700s. The family is spread across the parishes of the Vall de Bianya: Sant Salvador, Sant Martí de Solamal and Sant Pere Despuig. One branch reaches Freixenet, near Camprodon.
- 1800s. The family is in Sant Joan les Fonts and Begudà, just down the valley.
People who may still be living are not included in the map.
